FSCC President's Ambassador

As a President's Ambassador, my responsibilities varied greatly depending on the day. Some days I would be fielding emails and making phone calls to prospective students while I other days I would be giving campus tours and directing high school seniors to their designated locations on Senior Day. The President's Ambassadors participate in a variety of promotional events for the institution. Many events that were attended by myself and the Ambassadors (including the Walk for a Veteran event pictured below) were on a strictly volunteer based schedule. *click on pictures for descriptions*

FSCC Spirit Squad

During my last year at FSCC, I developed a close relationship with my Criminal Justice instructor who was also the spirit squad coach. She learned of my history as a mascot for my high school and offered me a spirit squad scholarship on the spot if I would fill their vacancy for a mascot. I attended basketball games as part of the spirit squad and attended a college convention at the Kansas State Capitol as Gizmo the Greyhound. *click images for descriptions*

Phi Theta Kappa

I was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa in the fall of 2016. In order to be inducted into the society, members must have completed 12 hours toward their Associate's Degree and have a 3.5 grade point average or higher. In addition to being a member of Phi Theta Kappa, I was also the public relations officer for the chapter at Fort Scott Community College. I organized communication between our organization and other individuals on campus as well as introducing guests at future induction ceremonies. *click on image for description*

Academic Bowl

I occupied a seat on Fort Scott Community College's 2016 academic team. We competed against teams from other college's in a bracket. Each pairing raced the clock to answer questions from a variety of categories. *click on image for description*

Christians on Campus

Every Thursday at 7 pm, a large group of students and I would meet in the commons of Fort Scott Community College for fellowship and prayer. As a group, we hosted fundraisers and attended Winter Jam in 2017. It was through this organization that I decided to be baptized in February of 2017. *click on image for description*

Student Voice

Student Voice acted as a makeshift student counsel for Fort Scott Community College. As a team, we discussed certain events that we'd like to see on campus. We hosted game nights and other fun and informative events for students. *click on image for description*

Transfer Scholars Leadership Program

Upon graduation from Fort Scott Community College, I was accepted into the Transfer Scholars Leadership Program at Pittsburg State University. My acceptance was based on my academics, volunteer work, and merit. As a transfer scholar, I give tours of the university to prospective transfer students and perform various tasks for my supervisors in the admissions office.
