Solving Problems
Part of the coursework for my Small Group Communication course was to identify issues on campus and propose practical solutions to those problems with a small group of other students. My group and I decided to tackle the issue of on-campus dining. Our research covered aspects of health, price, and convenience. We conducted interviews and gathered information online in order to find the most practical solution to problems that the student population identified.
Dissecting A Film
As a semester project for Intro to Persuasive Communication, small groups were tasked with dissecting a film of choice by the persuasive communication concepts that we had learned throughout the semester. My group chose to analyze Jurassic Park.
Voter Complacency
As a part of Intro to Public Relations, small groups were tasked with creating a pitch to increase young adult voter registration. My group decided hosting voter registration event on campus and using Pandora for advertising the event would be a good place to start. The event would feature as aspect where everyone who registered were registered to win a prize. A booth would be featured on one university campus for each state in the midwest.
